Forklift Maintenance Checklist (Simple)
A straightforward maintenance checklist for forklifts. Daily inspections plus scheduled service intervals.
Daily Pre-Operation Inspection
Before operating the forklift each day, check:
- Fluid levels (oil, coolant, hydraulic)
- Tire condition and pressure
- Forks for cracks or damage
- Mast chains and rollers
- Brakes (service and parking)
- Steering operation
- Horn, lights, and backup alarm
- Seatbelt condition
- Leaks under the machine
- Battery condition (electric) or fuel level (gas/diesel)
Do not operate if any safety items fail inspection
Scheduled Maintenance
